I called the customer service for the salad..the lady just said it is the price with that side order size. I dont think she should do that job cuz she is not helping her customer. She just tells customer thats the way they do business. .

Bad customer service

In a nut shell when I called and ordered through the Swiss chalet customer service app I ordered a festive hot chicken sandwich meal when it arrived it was not that meal it was a regular hot chicken sandwich meal so I called back to the store and said, where is my cranberry and stuffing and she was like oh we forgot to send that we will send that out then I receive a phone call. Oh no after reviewing, we are not going to send that out because thats not what you ordered and I was like but it is what I ordered and she was like well thats not what the receipt says and I was like well thats what I ordered whether youre a service descriptive it wrong thats not my fault thats what I asked for that. She basically tried to tell me that I was in the wrong, so yeah, this will be the last time I order from swiss chaletever again I stopped using skip the dish. I stopped using DoorDash and went right to the company and yet the service never got any better. Thanks for nothing .

Tipping

I don't know who to send this to and hope it will,be sent to some customer service area. Yesterday myself and a friend dined at your store on Bloor St near Royal York in Toronto. When The bill came there is no option for tipping. 15% was the lowest tip possible. Tipping is making eating out too expensive for the average person. And to be told what you have to tip is going to far. My choice would have bee not to tip since the service was poor with only one waitress and a busy lunch hour. You have lost me as a customer until yoh allow a customer to decide about tipping. Canada should Follow the Australian xample. No tipping. Restaurants offer a liveable wage with benefits. Regretably

Swiss Chalet - COMPLAINT
Before server came take our order for dinner I seen a *** crawler along the ledge where we were sitting not sure if it was a cockroach or an other type of bug it crawled away. Plus on our order we order a side of fries they gave us the smallest plate ever. Not happy with this experience this evening All the manager said was sorry for this no compensation at all.

Disappointed

So disappointed today to get Swiss Chalet sandwich for lunch which was yummy and the sauce great as usual since I was a kid. But honestly why did you mess with your fries- they have always been my favourite but today I couldnt recognize your fries- they were terrible. Why would you change them?

Failure of restaurant to provide on Thanksgiving Order

Hello, For our extended family Thanksgiving dinner we ordered pick-up of two family Thanksgiving dinners to be picked up at 5pm on Thanksgiving Day. When we arrived at the restaurant, there seemed to be a lot of confusion, a lot of people were waiting. It took us 15 minutes to find out from the manager that the stove was not working since 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Eventually, she offered a rebate of payment, of the amount $123.12. We returned home and were left with six adults and three children without dinner for Thanksgiving. We feel that an attempt should have been made to give us an early warning to make other arrangements. Although we have visited this restaurant many times and enjoyed our meals, this was a bad Thanksgiving for us and the worst experience we ever had. It is unforgettable! Poor service

We went to Swiss chalet at 5 PM on the Sunday of Thanksgiving, the restaurant was empty. We waited 45 minutes for soup, and then we had to wait again for our bread that we ordered because I guess somebody else took it for another table and then we waited. I dont even know how long till we asked someone where our dinners were, finally they brought them. No apologies for being so late, we had the Thanksgiving special and then there was no pies left for us, so we Ask for the dessert menus so we could order something else they brought them, but never came back to take our orders, I asked for a takeout container. No one brought one finally got up and went to the kitchen and ask for my own and then we ask them take the price off the pies of our bills. We were over two hours, trying to get a dinner at Swiss chalet in an empty restaurant and then the time we were there, the restaurant filled up and emptied again, the service was so poor, that every time I think about going to your restaurant I dont and Ive told everybody I talk to about the service, no apologies, and I know it was Thanksgiving. Thats why we went early, but didnt matter the people that came in way after us ate and left before us, lets just say we did not leave a tip that night and we eat out a lot but Swiss chalet wont be getting my money anytime soon And by the way, there was only four of us and a child, so theres no excuse of being a big party

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Swiss chalet paid for my chiropractor appointments and my gas . I was happy with that .

I was having dinner with my son at the Swiss chalet on the queens way in Toronto. Just after I took my last bite , a mouse came and sat on my foot . It was horrible, it scared me so bad , I jumped up on the chair and started to scream . Ive never been so upset . Of course we did not pay for the meal . My back went out from jumping on the chair , today was my first chiropractor appointment and another one on Monday . I am so upset .

Mad at Swiss chalet on thanksgiving

On thanksgiving day we ordered the special dinner to be delivered from the carving ave restaurant at 4.15 in the afternoon and we still didnt have it by 7.15. We were told it would be to us by around 5.15. I called and was told by one rep at call centre and was told to try to wait for half an hour still nothing came. The next time I called the rep said she would try calling the restaurant but she went away and then hung up on me. Called again and said I had waited 3 hours so I needed to cancel and refund my my Mastercard. I guess the guy that answered didnt know how to do that so he passed me over to someone else who cancelled the order. I better get my money back. A little later a women from door dash calls wondering what happened. Who knows? Anyway my 93 year old mother and I had cheese and crackers for our thanksgiving dinner. Thanks a lot Swiss chalet for ruining our thanksgiving meal.

I was charged for online order and then when my sister went to pick it up they told her to pay, she thought maybe I had t paid. When she told me she had paid I was furious that they asked her to pay for an order I was charged for. I have been dealing with them since and have not received a refund for one of the charges. I keep getting the run around. This is the worst experience with a restaurant ever!

To Say Good-bye

Swiss Chalet has been one of my favorite meals for many years. I'm sorry to see that you are working your way out of business. Something has changed? Perhaps your partnership with Harvey's, I don't know. 2 weeks ago we brought home some takeout for 2 from your Wasaga Beach outlet at a cost of 34.56. The chicken was sparce, the chips were greasy, even the once delicious sauce was somehow different. My wife threw hers out & I threw out most of mine as well. A total waste of our money. Being the forgiving kind, yesterday I decided to forgive & forget and try the same dinner from your Barrie outlet & put out another 34.56 with the same results, both meals went into the garbage. We will be sorry to see you go but we are going first. We wont be back.s
